The government has announced the home of the The National Cyber Force (NCF) will be Samlesbury, Lancashire – sharing the site with BAE Systems who already operate from former RAF base. The force is charged with enabling the UK to have a cyber-attack capability when it comes threats such as terrorists or hostile states.
I screen grabbed the above image from Google Maps – which also offered me directions from my office to base and suggested the journey would take about 2.5 hours.
It is difficult in this age of 24 hour news, the internet and social media to keep anything secret. I guess inside the gates – if you can get inside the gates – is much more secure.
