Google strengthens the security of some high profile users

Google gives security keys to 10,000 high-risk users – BBC News

You may not be on this list – so you have to take you own steps to be secure.

The two things you need to do now are:

  • Activate the multi-factor authentication
  • Get some training in how to recognise and then deal with the cybersecurity threat posed by email

I wrote about this subject last week as part of Diana’s October #BeCyberSmart campaign. The way we can unconsciously process email is such a productive attack vector for malicious actors that they will never stop adapting their attack method to try and deceive us – so I am sure I will return to it again and again.

Would you be interested in joining one of our online training sessions? We bring together a small group of people from a variety businesses and the training is designed to equip you with the skills you will need to combat the threat posed by email with plenty of time for questions and looking at the most attacks.
