Just swap the QR codes on two adjacent “for hire” bikes and wait for some unsuspecting victim to come along and unlock the bike for you. QR codes are a versatile bit of technology that have become very popular since the rise of the connected smartphone, but as we have seen in other posts they are open to the usual criminal manipulation. If you use these types of bikes (anywhere in the world) look carefully at the code patch before using them – if it looks tampered with, then move on.
