It’s Patch Tuesday again!

Before I start this post – remember you should have Windows updates set to automatic (we do make exceptions for some Windows servers) and you should be able to monitor the update status on all your organisation’s computers.

You cannot check whether everyone has updated? Then do something about it and patch that hole in your cyber security!

Here are the Microsoft release notes for this month’s updates:

And a description from Bleeping Computers:

Microsoft September 2022 Patch Tuesday fixes zero-day used in attacks, 63 flaws (bleepingcomputer.com)

My advice: Either you or your IT support need to check whether these issues impact your systems. You need to have a master document that details your systems, hardware, software, online, networks, back-ups, suppliers etc – so when cyber security (or operational) issues arise you and your support teams can quickly check if you are affected. From there you can take fast, effective action.
