The Online Safety Bill

Smart Thinking Solutions supports this UK Government initiative:

Let’s stop abuse together – Stop Abuse Together (campaign.gov.uk)

The Conservatives having spent the summer choosing our new Prime Minister, will let the MPs return to work and The Online Safety Bill will be back in the House.

I have written about this bill and its ups and downs a lot. I like the protection it gives to the vulnerable and the responsibility it will shift to the Big Tech platforms to keep them safe. I do not like the way encryption will be compromised and with that the privacy of law-abiding citizens removed.

You should catch up with the consequences of the bill (links below and further links to third party articles in my posts) and make your mind up whether it’s good, or bad, or needs amendments and let your MP what you think – not what I think.
