Microsoft encryption not up to the job

Research is showing that Microsoft’s Office 365 Message Encryption is good for privacy – as it makes accessing the message difficult, rather than security, putting the message out of reach of anyone but the recipient.

The drawbacks of electronic code book (ECB) and block ciphers were covered as part of the cybersecurity course I attended, but obviously Microsoft missed that day!

Microsoft is disputing whether there is a problem, but if you need security, then you need a different solution, until this is sorted.
