Ransomware is still one of the worse cyber attacks

Knowing what you are going to do if ransomware malware gets past your cyber security defences is essential for your business continuity and reputation. In the case of a hospital that plan is complex and have life threatening consequences if they get it wrong.

It appears The André-Mignot teaching hospital in Paris is coping having had to close down some of its IT services because of a ransomware attack:

“A ransom, the amount of which I do not know, has been requested but we do not intend to pay it,”

Richard Delepierre, the co-chairman of the hospital’s supervisory board

They obviously have a plan.
