TikTok is a Chinese company and concerns over the influence and access the Chinese government has to the information held by Chinese companies has led to official requests for the Prime Minister to ban the use of TikTok within government.

Both the EU and the US have instructed officials to limit their use of TikTok on security grounds.

Your takeaway from this should be to set boundaries for what your people can put in any social media platform about your company. We had one case where photos of a clients network ended up on a Facebook, because the person liked the colours of the cables. That in itself was not a problem, the problem was that the IP addresses of the the servers, routers and the gateway were clearly visible.
