International Disruption of Threat Infrastructure

International co-operation and excellent police work can have an impact on cyber security threats large and small. Here is an example of the FBI and US Justice Department closing and seizing domains associated with international DDoS attacks.

This is part of the international law enforcement operation known as Operation PowerOFF. 

Recently the FBI with Ukranian authorities also hit the threat actors’ method of collecting their money.

These types of action all help to disrupt the threat actors’ ability to operate. Whilst they are rebuilding, they cannot be actively looking to exploit you.
