It is that time of year again – school exams. But gone are the days of writing the answers on your shirt cuff or hand, or asking to go to the toilet where you have hidden your notes. Today candidates have to leave their phones and smartwatches outside, the calculators have to be the approved model, toilet trips are not to usual toilets and invigilators cannot use the time to read a book, they keep watch. (These are just some of the precautions our school teacher son has told me about.)
But even that will not help if the exam boards are hacked, the exam papers stolen and then put up for sale.
