Your takeaway
I am a great advocate of using a text editor – this is my preference Notepad++ – and copying and pasting settings, passwords etc from there rather than doing it live. I can check the information before committing it. Afterwards just close the text file without saving – and clean the temp folders. Remember though the credentials etc are still in the clipboard so a reboot may be needed, just to be sure everything is gone.
