I am in the middle of another IT and Cyber Security audit for an organisation and as part of that report I have been asked to look at their SharePoint configuration. IT was set up in rush during the first lockdown and the board and CEO are not sure about it and the users are just unhappy with it.
Getting SharePoint (or Google Workspace storage or any other storage) right is a key step in controlling your information. Once your information is under control you can be reassured that the privacy and security of that information is also under control. The access may not be correct, but now that is something can be addressed.
Of course if you do not exert some control over your data there can be data leaks, but let’s hope it is not 38TB of data that you leak:
