White hat or ethical hackers are one of the backbones of finding flaws in software and systems – now Nikhil Rane, a student at the University of Bradford has been celebrated in the India Book of Records for his cyber security work. He has found more than 200 flaws in systems including those of Google, Microsoft and NASA.

Software and firmware is complicated, it benefits everyone when ethical hackers probe and explore looking for vulnerabilities and hopefully finding them and reporting them to the vendors before the threat actors can exploit them.
It is nice to have a good news cyber security story.
