Vastaamo hack: Therapy notes hacker jailed for blackmail – BBC News
He tried extorting the company, Vastaamo, first. When that failed, he turned to vulnerable patients.
Your takeaway
This is a particularly nasty case of hacking and blackmail and was carried out by someone who had been hacking since he was thirteen, he was caught and sentenced when he was fifteen but continued to be linked to cyber-attacks.
Two things you need to know.
- Protect your sensitive information.
- Hackers and threat actors are sh*ts and care for nothing or no one.
