It has been reported that the UK government’s Ministry of Defence has suffered a data breach.
An an armed forces payroll system was compromised and Grant Shapps MP, the Defence Secretary has reported to MPs that state involvement cannot be ruled out.
The Defence Secretary has indicated that the issue lay with the contractor the government eploys to run the system, but that is just an excercise in moving the blame from himself to others, as it is obvious that the contractor runs the system and so is responsible.
The other issue with these statements by MPs from all sides of the House is that the investigation is ongoing. So stop trying to score election points.
