About 400GB of patient information was stolen from Synnovis, a contractor providing provides blood testing services to multiple London hospitals and it has now been released on a the Dark Web. The BBC has seen a sample of the compromised information and confirmed it included, “…patient names, dates of birth, NHS numbers and descriptions of blood tests. It is not known if test results are also in the data.”.
The attack is being called, “one of the most significant and harmful cyber attacks ever in the UK.”
