As regular readers of “Because It’s Friday” know, I often run maths articles in this slot because of our son, who has a Masters in Mathematics. When I saw this article, I knew I could not pass it up for today:
Google Scholar has a ‘verified email’ for Sir Isaac Newton
Both of our son’s dissertations included citing Isaac Newton’s 1687 work, Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica – although it seemed that all of his year at uni and, he thinks, many other mathematicians regularly quote from that work.
