This is what the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) said of Capita, they “failed to ensure the security of processing of personal data which left it at significant risk”.
So my questions to you are:
- Do you have an understanding of your information?
- Do you know how your organisation – and third parties – uses it?
- What documented steps have you, that will show the ICO you have taken reasonable steps to protect the data you are responsible for?
