Smart Thinking Solutions is a trading name of Octagon Technology Ltd, an IT company with a long history of security consultancy. Due to the alarming increase in threats to company networks resulting from opportunists taking advantage of the pandemic in 2020, we decided to make our security consultancy work more visible.

We are aware that most companies, especially smaller companies, do not believe they are likely to be targetted so they do not approach us for help until after the event and before they have put in place any policies or had any training. This is the normal way in which we acquire new clients, so do not hesitate to call as we do not judge you! However, we believe that cyber security starts in the boardroom, as without senior management buy-in to the issues there will be no push to implement an IT governance security program aligned with business goals and budget.
