Arnold Clark customer data ‘stolen in cyber attack’ – BBC News
The data theft includes valuable ID information – copies of such documents as passports and driving licenses – as well as financial and personal data, all highly valued by threat actors.
Arnold Clarke took appropriate action when the breach was discovered last Christmas and has notified affected customers. Although the BBC has spoken to some of Arnold Clarke’s customers and they are not happy about the company’s response.
It appears that Arnold Clark did not have a segregated data storage system – something it is now addressing.
