I must admit I had never thought about this type of leak in a cyber security plan. I am not sure how relevant this is in the UK, but it is something I will be thinking about in future. I already have a section in my IT and Cyber Security Audit that looks at authentication, with an emphasis on text message authentication.
The use of authenticator apps rather than the flawed text message authentication will eliminate this as an issue.
