Following any type of incident that impacts your organisation, how you respond to your stakeholders is important to the recover your reputation.
Following the serious cyber security incident the Co-op have suffered, they have offered members a financial appology – I have had an email from the Co-op explaining my appology. This has made the headlines on the BBC News site:
Co-op offers members £10 discount on shopping after cyber attack – BBC News
The headline looks good – but what is the reality. To get your £10 apology, because the Co-op could not keep your personal information secure, you have to spend more than £40 with them.
You can make your own mind up whether you think this is an apology you would issue from your organisation?
