I like Signal as a secure, private messaging app and if your business needs an unaccountable way of communicating then I recommend Signal.
Now Signal is starting to offer a secure encrypted back-up service for your messages:

The feature is only available on Android during the testing phase but iOS and desktop versions will soon be available. The free version comes with some limitations – as you wouold expect, storage costs money and Signal is free – but a paid for extended service is also available.
Your Takeaway
Signal is good for privacy and not so good for accountability, but this new feature maybe a way of providing some accountability.
