Remembering Apple’s Newton, 30 years on | Ars Technica
At the time I had a Psion 3 PDA which in 1993, as soon as they came out, was upgraded to a Psion 3a. Neither of these UK produced pocket computers were as capable as the Apple Newton but they cost a lot less, were smaller (actually pocket sized), were capable enough (word processor, contacts, email, book reader, portable Amateur Radio terminal etc) and were a lot of fun!
The Newton was something I just read about.
