Pegasus not used unlawfully – according to Israeli government enquiry

The Israeli government, following an enquiry, has found that the use of Pegasus against it’s own citizens, who were not suspects in any criminal case, was not illegal. I wonder how many other countries, in that situation would return the same result?

What is Pegasus?

Pegasus is a cyber-weapon. It is one of a number of commercially available spyware products that can be purchased by governments and law enforcement agencies to spy on communications and data on smartphones. This product is produced and marketed by NSO Group based in Israel.
