The council leaders are now struggling with the cost of recovering the situation for the citizens that elected them. Jeremy Hilton, who is on the council said about the Conservative council, they were, “either refusing to estimate the final bill or doesn’t have a clue to what it could be”.
This is not really news – cyber-attacks cost money but so does cyber security. However it is better to spend at the start of this project on your defences and response preparations than afterwards in trying to fix the mess and get re-elected!
