New ransomware identified – training is your first defence before the technical defences catch up

Researchers from Blackberry Threat Intelligence (yes THAT Blackberry – a blast from the past) have identified a new family of ransomware – LokiLocker being offered as Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) and targeting Windows machines.

The chances are high that, if you were to be a victim of this malware, the delivery system would be by someone in your organisation launching LokiLocker via a malicious phishing email. Training is your first line of defence:
