Craig Newmark, who founded Craigslist, is going to invest money into projects that will help reveal the cyber security risks or strengths of consumer devices such as IoT home devices, cars and other smart devices. Craig Newmark Philanthropies will make available more than $50 million in grants to create what is being referred to as “cyber civil defense”.
