Is that you?

Why bother?

FBI: Cyber-scams cost victims $6.9b-plus worldwide in 2021 • The Register

Cyber criminals make a lot of money out of scamming and attacking businesses just like yours. The hackers do not care which business they exploit, or where in the world that business is, or even if you have anything of value or can afford the ransom. All they are looking for is any organisation that has left the cyber security door open for them. After that they can create havoc.

If they cannot get anything out of you, they can move on, to another victim who did not care about cyber security. You on the other hand will need to pay the price for whatever damage they have done to your infrastructure, data, customer goodwill and your organisation’s reputation. You may have to report the incident to the ICO and then you will be in the media for all the wrong reasons.

So is it time to grab one of those final places on our course?
