I must be sounding a bit like a broken record (see references at the bottom), as I regularly write about the fact that ransomware attacks are ever increasing! Here is another report showing just that:

Just know that you need to have a plan in place that will deal with the consequences to your organisation if a threat actor gets some ransomware past your technical and personnel defences. This should start with back-ups you can rely on and an incident response plan.
Then you should check that your team can recognise a phishing email and be able to deal with the types of social engineering the threat actors regularly deploy – that takes training.
