Are ransomware gangs on the way up, reorganising or on the way down?

To be honest it depends on what research you are reading at the time. Even though these gangs are styling themselves on real world businesses, they are criminals and so do keep some thing secret.

It does not matter ransomware is a major risk to any organisation.

The main thing we should remember is, whether it is this gang or that gang, whether you are the deliberate target or just collateral damage – your cyber security defences should be as good as you can make them.
