Following the hacking of Spanish governmental phones, Spain’s prime minister Pedro Sánchez, will be bringing forward new legislation to regulate and oversee the nation’s spy agencies:

Following the news that 10 Downing Street and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office had been infected with the Israeli produced commercial spyware Pegasus – it has now been reported that the surveillance software was found on the phones of the Spanish PM, Pedro Sánchez and the Minister of Defence, Margarita Robles.

The breach happened last year with the PM’s smartphone being infected twice and the minister’s once.
