The data extortion gang Karakurt is believed to be associated with the Conti gang.
Not ransomware this time that encrypts your data – this gang steals it and then threatens to release it to the public internet and the sensitive stuff like passwords and accounts to the dark web. This joint advisory from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), gives advice on how to defend against such attacks.
