Emotet are back – now stealing credit card data

The Emotet botnet started off as banking trojan then evolved into a spamming and malware delivery system, has now moved onto exfiltrating credit card data:

If you have your credit card details stored in your Google Chrome browser, the bot can steals all the vital information a threat actor could want.

Yo can bet this will not be the end of what Emotet, recently determined to be the worlds most prolific malware, will be developed to steal.

However for this malware to work, it has to infect a user – and most infections will start with a phishing email, designed to exploit your trust in some way.
