The two sides of Google

On one side we have the alleged Google as villian.

We all know that the primary Google business model is based on knowledge and use of our personal data, to promote the effectiveness of it’s advertising product to potential advertising clients, to then feed that advertising to us via it’s various channels, Google Search, YouTube etc. It is why when advising clients who to buy their office software from we we advise Microsoft 365, from Microsoft a company with a proven track record in business orientated software, rather then Google Workspace, from Google, primarily an advertising company.

However there is not getting away from the fact, that Google spends some of it’s earnings on the Google Threat Analysis Group (TAG) and improving the safety and security of the internet and email :
