Another college paralysed by a cyber attack – advice for parents and students

The is no word from the College of the Desert – based in Palm Desert, California, as to the type of cyber attack it is experiencing by it has disrupted the studies of 12,550 students.

If you have a child (or studying yourself) at University make sure they backup their work outside the University or College system. I did not keep anything on the Napier University system whilst I was studying – I took responsibility for the data security myself.
