The one thing you have to remember is that threat actors nearly always play a numbers game – the smallest effort to reach the maximum number of potential victims. That is why social engineering phishing attacks are so prolific – big numbers – and why Microsoft products are targeted – big numbers.
Now that the market for Macs has been growing, the numbers are now getting large enough to attract more hackers to the Apple honey pot.
