This is a nice little piece of “off the wall” cyber security. How many of us plug our phones and devices into public USB charging ports, in trains, hotels etc.?
Have you ever thought that the port may be connected to a computer which could steal your data?
Alright it is a bit of a stretch, but possible.
My main concern when I plug into these types of ports, is that they actually deliver 5v at 2A. I am about to plug my expensive iPhone into it and I do not want it to be fried. So I use a power dongle (above) to protect my devices – and it has a power/no data port.
