Once ransomware gets into an organisation, usually through some type of phishing attack, that organisation will have a problem that will cost it money and will damage its reputation. So, anything that makes it easier for ransomware attacks to flourish and increase has to be bad news for every organisation large and small.

Researchers at Sophos have found that there is a new wave of cheap and dirty ransomware available for less technical threat actors available for purchase on the Dark Web. Complete with support and monetisation channels.

Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) is growing and it is time you checked your ransomware plan is current and workable.
