This opinion was formed several years ago when the first rumours about the Russian government involvement with Kaspersky arose, long before the current crisis.

So I have real difficulty with the National Cyber Security Centre’s stance on Kaspersky – that organisations should think twice about using their products but it is OK for most individual users. I cannot understand that.
Either it is a safe anti-virus product or it is not. You may not be the target but you could be collateral damage.
My advice – do not use Kaspersky anti-virus.
