It looks like being a week of device security – these numbers should convince you to do something

However to reinforce the statement that apps downloaded from the Google Play Store can be a serious security risk on your organisation’s information, Google rejected 2.28 million bad apps from its App store. That is 2.28 million.

But how many got through?

And the Apple App Store is not squeaky clean. They had had their issues with insecure apps but no where on the scale of Google. Most iPhone/iPad device vulnerabilities are because of the Apple Message app and Safari.

Then there is sideloading of apps!

You need a position on smartphones and tablets, especially Android devices, BYOD and your sensitive information.
